During Women in Construction Week, Restoration Management Company (RMC) proudly recognizes the women across our company who bring leadership, expertise, and dedication to the restoration and construction industry.

From emergency response and mitigation to reconstruction and project leadership, women across RMC play an essential role in helping our clients recover from unexpected disasters. Their work helps restore homes, businesses, and communities when people need support the most.

One of those leaders is Liz Sanchez, Vice President of the Southwest Region, whose career reflects the human side of restoration—helping people through some of the most difficult moments they may face.

A Career Built on Helping Others

For Liz, the inspiration to work in restoration came from a natural desire to serve others and build meaningful connections with people.

“I have always liked serving, helping others, and connecting with people. Being able to provide someone comfort and assist them in their time of need after a fire or water event has always been something I have really enjoyed.”

Restoration work often begins during stressful and uncertain moments for property owners. Whether responding to a fire, water loss, or other unexpected event, the goal is not only to repair the damage—but to help people regain stability.

That sense of purpose is what first drew Liz to the industry and ultimately led her to build a long and impactful career with RMC.

Guiding Clients Through Difficult Moments

For many professionals in restoration, the most rewarding part of the job is helping clients navigate a challenging situation. Liz says that opportunity to guide people through the recovery process continues to be the most meaningful part of her work.

“Being able to help someone through probably one of the most stressful times in their life. I am there to guide them through the process, and getting them back to normalcy is very rewarding.”

From the first emergency response call to the final stages of reconstruction, restoration professionals play an important role in helping people rebuild both their property and their peace of mind.

Liz adds that she knew early in her career that restoration was the right industry for her.

“I fell in love with this industry from the very beginning of my career with RMC.”

Leadership That Puts People First

As Vice President of the Southwest Region, Liz oversees operations and helps lead teams across multiple markets. But she says many people are surprised to learn that a large part of her role is focused on something beyond projects and operations—people.

“One thing people might be surprised about my current role is that my role isn’t just about operations. A lot of my role is focused on people.”

For Liz, leadership means investing in the individuals who make RMC’s work possible every day.

“I am very passionate about the people who work for RMC and their continued growth and success.”

By supporting team members, mentoring future leaders, and helping employees grow professionally, Liz helps ensure that RMC continues delivering the high standard of service our clients expect.
