Karen Cowan Announced BOMA Regional Member of the Year!

Congratulations to Restoration Management Company Account Executive Karen Cowan on being named a BOMA Regional Member of the year!

Monday at the BOMA Board of Governors Meeting in Washington, D.C. Karen was awarded the BOMA Member of the Year for the Pacific Southwest Region out of thousands of highly qualified BOMA members. This region includes the states of California, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada.

Karen, who has been with RMC for 16 years, is responsible for account management and business development in San Francisco, South San Francisco, the Peninsula, and East Bay in the field of commercial real estate. While working with RMC, Karen has supported BOMA (Building Owners and Managers Association) in a variety of roles. These roles led to her Member of the Year award — an award that typically goes to members who are property managers!

Since joining BOMA in July 2005, Karen has served on the Membership Committee, Emergency Preparedness Committee, Charity Committee for BOMA Oakland East Bay, Co-Chair the Education Committee for BOMA San Francisco. Additionally, Karen chaired the Awards Committee for BOMA Oakland East Bay, currently serves on the Board of Directors for BOMA Oakland East Bay, serves on the Strategic Advisory Council for BOMA Oakland East Bay, and Chairs the TOBY Awards for California, Hawaii, Arizona, and Nevada.

A formal presentation with a physical award will take place later this year at the local BOMA level and BOMA San Francisco will be featuring Karen in a half-page article in their upcoming newsletter.
