The Superintendent completes projects on time, at or under budget, with satisfied customers while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to corporate procedures and policies. This position reports directly to the Regional Operations Manager.

Core responsibilities for this position are as follows:

  • Provide direct project supervision during production
    • Perform the correct scope of work per regulatory requirements, industry standards, company protocols and stakeholder expectations
    • Execute approved changes to the scope of work
    • Manage, meet and exceed stakeholder expectations
    • Create, maintain and update schedules on all projects
    • Review estimates, plans, site logistics, etc. prior to project commencement and as needed throughout the project
    • Obtain necessary city licenses and building permits
    • Budget, schedule and manage in-house labor
    • Conduct safety meetings and set up project site safety boards per RMC safety protocols
    • Regularly inspect project sites for adherence to schedule, quality and safety standards
  • Communicate with project stakeholders on a daily/weekly or as needed basis
    • Provide daily updates on all projects
    • Provide verbal updates followed by email confirmation
    • Email Crisp Reports after every site inspection
    • Participate in weekly production meetings
  • Collaborate with Project Directors regarding estimating, budgets, changes in scope, change orders or supplement requests and project specific issues
    • Assist Project Directors with estimating new projects and changes to existing projects by attending project inspections, reviewing plans, identifying scope items and providing pricing information
    • Provide timely notification of project issues and/or scope changes, clarification requests, budget discrepancies, etc. to the Project Director and Operations Manager
  • Collaborate with Production Coordinator to ensure all project files are kept current and complete
    • Submit complete and accurate weekly production reports
    • Submit project schedule and budget sheet on every project
    • Submit T&M paperwork daily on T&M projects
    • Review and approve/reject subcontractor or vendor invoices within 2 business days from receipt
    • At project completion review project financials and turn in a complete production file
  • Build positive working relationships with subcontractors
    • Source new subcontractors and vendors
    • Negotiate specific scopes of work with subcontractors for prices that fit within the project budget
    • Finalize subcontract agreements or work orders on all subcontracted work prior to subcontracted work commencing
  • Ensure projects meet financial objectives
    • Create, maintain and update budgets on all projects
    • Ensure actual costs meet or exceed budget expectations
