It is the primary responsibility of the Receptionist to welcome and initiate the overall first impression of our employees and guest’s arrival experience. This position proactively welcomes and engages with everyone that comes through our lobby, enhancing their experience by fielding inquiries and facilitating interactions that are welcoming and efficient. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.

Core responsibilities for the position are as follows:

  • Welcomes and directs external and internal visitors and notifies personnel of their arrival to appropriate locations and parties
  • Maintains a visitor log and issues security badges to all visitors
  • Delivers excellent customer service, projects a professional and courteous demeanor in person on the telephone and via e-mail
  • Processes all incoming and outgoing mail
    • Sorts mail daily and distributes
    • Signs for packages and notify appropriate personnel
  • Maintains inter-office mail through courier service
  • Always keeps the reception area clean and tidy
  • Maintains conference/training room schedule
  • Updates and distributes company phone list
  • Provides general administrative/clerical support and other management requests as needed
  • Proactively greets guests within the lobby environment, identifying needs, and fulfilling appropriately.
  • Manages queueing system and procedures following our check-in process
  • Enthusiastically promotes and features our culture by demonstrating our core values
  • Maintains comprehensive and accurate knowledge of groups, events, amenities, outlets, and general information about our company
  • Exceeds standards for personal appearance and grooming at all times
  • Facilitates lobby safety, cleanliness, and security. Maintains a weekly incident report log
